SIMOLIO infrared (IR) headphones are compatible with most car DVD systems, but they are not Bluetooth headphones. To confirm compatibility, please check the "Have a question?/Customer questions (& answers)" section for a list of surely-compatible models. If your car's DVD player is not listed, first refer to your DVD manual or consult the car manufacturer to determine the IR sensor frequencies, as SIMOLIO IR headphones are only suitable for in-car DVDs that use the universal infrared frequency (Channel A: L/2.3MHZ,R/2.8MHZ; Channel B: L/3.2MHZ,R/3.8MHZ). They are not compatible with DVDs that use original digital IR or Bluetooth technology.

When using SIMOLIO IR headphones with non-universal DVDs, you may experience issues such as no sound, one-sided sound, or intermittent sound. To address these concerns, you can turn off the infrared function of your DVD and purchase a SIMOLIO infrared transmitter, which connects seamlessly with the IR headphones. Alternatively, for Bluetooth-enabled DVDs, you can consider purchasing a compatible Bluetooth headset.

Please note that the sound quality may be affected by the IR transmitting angle and distance. Sound will be cracking if you are too far away or not in the line of sight of the IR transmitter (DVD), which is a limitation of the IR system, not the product itself. The best audio signal will be obtained if you sit directly in front of the monitor within 33 feet, or within 35 degrees to the left or right of the monitor.

These wireless headphones are compatible with universal Vehicle Entertainment Systems, allowing backseat passengers to enjoy excellent sound clarity from movies, videos, and music without disturbing other passengers and drivers. For the best performance, use 2×AAA premium alkaline batteries and ensure the volume on your DVD player and headphones are turned up to a sufficient level. Additionally, try both channels on the headphones, as your vehicle may be transmitting on either channel A or B.

If your kids watch different movies on two DVDs, set each DVD on a different channel and the headphone to the channel of the DVD you would like to listen to. Make sure your kids sit more than 20 inches apart to avoid interference. If you have a ceiling/roof-mounted DVD player for all passengers to watch the same program, we suggest you choose channel A for both your DVD and headphone, as it may have better performance than channel B.

For the toddler or someone who feels the headphone is too big, we suggest using the included adjustable headbands to fit better. The headband incorporates memory elastic stainless steel strips, allowing you to remold the shape and adjust the wearing angle for a snug fit.

In addition to being compatible with car DVD systems, SIMOLIO IR headphones can also be used with an IR transmitter (not included) as wireless headphones for TV watching at home, with products such as projectors, TVs, portable DVD players, computers, or tablets.
